River Island is launching its collaboration with Rihanna during London Fashion Week
with a catwalk show on Saturday, February 16.The showcase will present Rihanna’s debut spring/summer 2013 collection for the retailer, featuring clothing and accessories, ahead of its global launch in March.
“Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me," said Rihanna. “I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!"
The highly anticipated collaboration will launch global in River Island stores and online on March 5 and exclusively in the United States and Japan at Opening Ceremony.
Ben Lewis, River Island's chief executive, added: "We are very excited to present our Rihanna for River Island collection at London Fashion Week. This is the perfect platform to showcase Rihanna's design talent and ambition."
