Victoria Beckham joins Woolmark judging panel

Versace have been announced as the new judges of the International Woolmark Prize. They will sit on the panel alongside Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani and Style.com’s Tim Blanks to help name the world’s best Merino wool designer.

Over the past year, five regional finals have taken place in the US, Europe, China, India and Australia, and created a shortlist of six finalists - Sophie Theallet from the US, Christian Wijnants from Belgium represent Europe, Ban Xiao Xiu from China, Dion Lee from Australia, Pankaj and Nidhi from India, and DressedUndressed from Japan.

The finalists, have emerged from a total of seventy applicants nominated by fashion industry professionals in their respective regions, and will meet at London Fashion Week on February 16 to compete for the overall prize of a sponsorship fund worth 100,000 AUD. The winning designer will also sell their collection in Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman, 10 Corso Como, Joyce and David Jones.
