Luxury hosiery brand Wolford is to refocus its product offer and will exit its swimwear

category.

The Austrian company, which is famous for its collaborations with catwalk designers such as Valentino and Giorgio Armani, will focus on legwear, its core business.

Wolford said its swimwear product group will be discontinued beginning with the Spring/Summer 2015 collection and the company will reduce its ready-to-wear line “to match a more precise positioning”.

Wolford said it intends to focus the structure of its product lines and its collection “even more on customers' expectations in the future”.

“This refocusing is designed to support a more systematic market orientation, to bundle innovative power and creativity, to reduce complexity and to streamline and optimize internal processes and the related costs,” said Wolford.

The company's H1 results took a dive from 4 million euro to 1.64 million euro over last year.

“With these measures, the company wants to return to profitability as quickly as possible and sustainably improve its competitive position”, the company said.
