LVMH has signed a partnership agreement with HEC Paris business school to create an education and research training programme dedicated to management of luxury fashion brands.
The long-term agreement will see the two organisations partnering to produce courses that draw on the expertise of HEC Paris business school professors, as well as the talent and engagement of managers from numerous LVMH Group companies, including Louis Vuitton, Berluti, Parfums Christian Dior, Sephora and others.
The aim is to train future talents who intend to join the world of luxury brands and to train them in all of its components including sales, merchandising, logistics, management and finance, said LVMH in a press statement.
“LVMH will be able to apply directly to international students with high potential, multicultural, open to mobility and sensitive to retail trades,” according to the company. “By presenting the strategic role of retail of luxury, richness and diversity, programs of HEC Paris Chair / LVMH will offer students unique career opportunities in the luxury sector.”
Chantal Gaemperle, director of human resources and synergies at LVMH said: "Retail is central to the strategy of the LVMH group. The multiplicity and variety of opportunities it offers to allow to build career paths rich in ever-changing environments.”
Peter Todd, Dean of HEC Paris, added: "I welcome this collaboration between LVMH and HEC Paris, leaders in their field and historically linked around a highly engaged community of HEC graduates in the LVMH Group. The merger of our two institutions of excellence around the values of openness and internationally thus part of a strong and coherent logic.”
