Rare archive footage of iconic French designer Jeanne Lanvin has been released. The never before seen film shows the designer putting the last minute touches to her collection and supervising fittings before unveiling the pieces to the waiting press.

Set inside Lanvin’s legendary headquarters at 22 Faubourg Saint Honore, Lanvin can be seen making final adjustments to several of her evening wear designs, including the Sorbier, Tubéreuse and Azalée.

Watch as the workers of her atelier rush to complete their work, and models walk out in the latest designs.

After setting up her house in 1909 following the popularity of the clothes she made for her daughter, Jeanne Lanvin’s signature became her elegant, pretty dresses, much like the ones seen here.
