Kingston University has presented its designs at Graduate Fashion Week's (GFW) catwalk show, a showcase of work by BA fashion students with the aim of the event to highlight graduating talent across 26 fashion specialisms from the Class of 2021, presented by the Graduate Fashion Foundation.

The three students from Kingston University who are in the running to win one of the Graduate Fashion Foundation 2021 Awards are Joy Julius, Mimi Simpson and Rhiannon Owens.

"Many of the students exhibiting at GFW this year have embraced social and political issues and have made a conscious effort to use repurposed and recycled fabrics, which is something we emphasise at Kingston School of Art as part of a responsible design context. "These talented new designers have produced beautifully crafted six look collections whilst living and working under pandemic restrictions. We are excited and confident about what they will do next,” said David Frizzell, BA (hons) fashion course leader, in a statement.

The GFW will be livestreamed until 18 June with digital content including live discussions, video premieres and runway shows.
