Alpargatas
Alpargatas is the largest Brazilian footwear company, and is a subsidiary of industrial conglomerate Camargo Corrêa. The company main competitors are Grendene, Vulcabrasǀazaleia and Penalty. Since its foundation, in 1907, Alpargatas has been offering innovative products that evolve side by side with its consumers. Alpargatas is the producer of two global brands which have become national passions: Havaianas, in Brazil, and Topper, in Argentina. The company also manufactures the brands Dupé, Rainha, Mizuno, Timberland and Sete Léguas, known for their design and technology, and has recently acquired 60% of the brand Osklen. Alpargatas is a desired brands management company with several manufacturing units in Brazil and Argentina, with thousands of employees. The company heavily invests in its global expansion and exports products to many countries world wide. Alpargatas is the controlling shareholder of Alpargatas Argentina and has a strong presence in the US through Alpargatas USA. In Europe, the company’s operations are responsible for the marketing and sales of sandals (Havaianas and Dupé) in Spain, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Portugal and also the Middle East.
