Beau Ties

In truth, our story is iconic. It began in 1993 when one bow-tie-wearing man, Bill Kenerson, couldn’t find attractive, high-quality ties to wear to work, and took it upon himself to change the situation. He bought some fabric that he liked, connected with a local seamstress, and together they created some bow ties. To make a long story short, Bill’s passion for wearing bow ties became a passion for sharing them, as well, and a little Vermont company came into existence – albeit in the spare bedroom of his house. It took a few years before Bill and his wife Deb made a leap of faith, giving up their day jobs to manage their growing company. And then – at an age when most folks are thinking about retiring – broke ground for a new building that became (and still is!) home to our manufacturing, sales, marketing and shipping operations. Ensconced in a new facility, our product line expanded to include neckties, cummerbunds, pocket squares, ascots, cravats, neckties, boys' ties and scarves - all of them made by our seamstresses right here in beautiful Middlebury, Vermont.
