Business School Netherlands (BSN) was established as an international business school in 1988 and we continue to expand our range of Action Learning programmes to enhance the careers of managers and executives from diverse countries and backgrounds. Business School Netherlands (BSN) was founded in 1988 in Enschede, the Netherlands. Today, BSN is situated in the picturesque town of Buren in the Netherlands, and continues to expand its provision of Action Learning programmes beyond the boundaries of the Netherlands, creating a global Action Learning community of business leaders. BSN has a truly international presence with partners situated in Africa, North America, Asia and the Caribbean. Business School Netherlands (BSN) recognises the massive growth of the body of business and managerial knowledge. Even the most enthusiastic students will fail to master it all in a lifetime, let alone during a two-year course. That is why we look at the academic part of an MBA or management programme from a different point of view.
We start with the problem that your organisation needs to solve. Once identified, you will learn to critically evaluate available knowledge in the respective field, identify the alternatives, and propose an effective solution. The Action Learning concept recognises that real learning only takes place when we have implemented the solution and witnessed the result. Confucius stated: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand”. In BSN’s vision, Learning to Learn is the most important part of doing a management programme. If you develop skills to analyse a problem, identify the core issues, and know where to look for possible solutions and ideas, you will be better equipped to deal with future challenges than people who are only able to repeat yesterday’s theories. We realise this is not mainstream thinking and we are proud of that. What we offer is an unconventional and proactive MBA and other post-master programmes. Business School Netherlands (BSN ) has been delivering Action Learning MBA’s and management programmes since 1988. As the Action Learning business school, BSN is not alone in recognising the value of Action Learning. Progressive organisations such as Shell, Exxon, General Electric, Unilever, Rabobank, Aloca Agro, Motorola, Arthur Andersen, General Motors and Lyondell Chemical Co. also believe in the Action Learning approach. They have achieved amazing results in the field of problem-solving, identifying competitive advantages, reducing operating costs and becoming learning organisations. Nearly 20,000 students from all over the world have joined our programmes in countries such as Aruba, Namibia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Egypt, Algeria, Tanzania, Pakistan, Armenia, United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Czech Republic, China and many more.
