Established out of the Jackson Tannery, which began in 1948, EMU is authentically Australian, and was born on the rugged Victorian coastline. We draw inspiration from our home, the Australian life and landscape, which is reflected in our passion when it comes to working with natural materials, colour palette and spending time in the open and wild-ness of nature. Proudly named after the EMU bird - one of Australia's most iconic and delightfully quirky creatures. With its curious character, striking look, and unstoppable forward stride, the emu is unlike any other bird in the world. It can't walk backwards, only forwards and this spirit and determination is a continual reminder to keep moving, innovating and evolving as a natural and spirited brand.
