Founded in 1841 in Paris, ESMOD is the first fashion school dedicated to training in Fashion Design and, since 1989, in Fashion Business. Today, the ESMOD International Group has 18 schools spread across 12 countries. ESMOD fosters a strong sense of belonging among its students and alumni, uniting them within an international and supportive community. Creativity is at the heart of our teaching. Our “Art Culture Heritage” department, with its archive of historical garments, offers students unique opportunities to collaborate on ambitious artistic projects and take part in enriching cultural events. ESMOD integrates CSR principles and sustainability into its teaching, raising student’s awareness of the environmental and social issues in fashion. In 2022, ESMOD launched the first class dedicated to digital fashion. Since 2024, it has reinforced its innovative footprint by inaugurating the “Digital Designer” specialization, focused on the 3D modernization of clothing, accessories, and decorations: a versatile training to master creative digital tools. ESMOD FASHION DESIGN Paris 9, Pantin, Bordeaux, Lyon, Rennes, Roubaix ESMOD Fashion Design offers a technical and creative education recognized by the State (MESR - Ministry of Higher Education and Research). ESMOD Fashion Design Certifications: • Undergraduate “Fashion Designer”: 3-year program - Certification registered with the RNCP at level 6 with 180 ECTS credits, • Postgraduate “Creative Director” : 2-year program - Diploma recognized by the MESR - Ministry of Higher Education and Research at level 7 with 120 ECTS credits. ESMOD FASHION BUSINESS Paris 9, Pantin, Bordeaux, Lyon, Roubaix ESMOD FASHION BUSINESS offers education in fundamental and operational marketing, brand strategy, and business strategy to train future high-level managers in marketing, product, and communication roles. ESMOD Fashion Business Certifications: • Undergraduate “Fashion Marketing and Communication Strategy Manager”: 3-year program - Certification registered with the RNCP at level 6 with 180 ECTS credits • Postgraduate “International Fashion and Luxury Development Manager”: 2-year program - Certification registered with the RNCP at level 7 with 120 ECTS credits. Our programs are constantly evolving to adapt to major industry challenges such as eco-responsibility and digitalization. SHORT COURSES : ESMO offers short introductory programs during the summer vacations, in Lyon, Paris, Rennes and Roubaix for beginners and those applying for a Fashion Design or Fashion Business programs ESMOD ART CULTURE & HERITAGE Reference books in fashion design, pattern making, and fashion culture. Since 1841, ESMOD “Art Culture Heritage” department has perpetuated the methods and processes of the school’s founder, Alexis Lavigne, inventor of the flexible measuring tape and model’s bust . ESMOD “Art Culture Heritage” develops its editorial line, demonstrating through the ingenuity of its processes, its adaptability to fashion evolutions and all clothing cultures. After reviewing and developing its traditional pattern making methods, it now offers a new collection on fashion design. ESMOD PRO ESMOD PRO supports professionals in the fashion and lifestyle sectors in the era of digital transformation and changing consumer generations, providing updates on new practices and skills within companies, from startups to established groups and companies.
