Tibi

Clothing brand Tibi is an American fashion company created by Amy Smilovic in 1997 while she was living abroad with her husband in Hong Kong. She partnered with Octavia Hyland, an another American expat living there, and they worked closely with small textile printers to develop unique prints in vivid colors and to create their first capsule collection. This first collection was quickly sold to expats living in Hong Kong and shortly after she received calls from stores in the U.S. asking to carry the collection. She moved back in the US in 2000 and in 2006 the first retail store opened in New York.
