Van Heusen

Van Heusen is a lifestyle brand for men, women and youth created in 1881 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, when Moses Phillips and his son Isaac began selling hand-sewn shirts. Almost 30 years later, in 1910, Dutch immigrant John Manning van Heusen invented a new process that fused cloth on a curve, creating a comfortable soft-folding collar. Moses Phillips and Van Heusen met, the Phillips-Van Heusen alliance borned in 1919 and in 1921 Van Heusen collars were introduced to the public. SInce 2001 the Van Heusen brand has been owned worldwide by PVH and their products are available in more than 85 countries.
