WALD Berlin

How it all began WALD Berlin was founded by the stylist and model duo Dana Roski and Joyce Binneboese around 2012. It originally started as a bricks and mortar concept store in Berlin Mitte. After taking a creative break, the two founders decided to re-launch the boutique as an online-only store, stocking a selection of curated lifestyle brands. The switch from bricks & mortar to online allowed them to travel the world and be inspired to launch their very own brand in 2018 - WALD Berlin.

What drives us / Our ambition While the inspiration behind WALD’s design stems from all over the world, from the founders’ experiences and travels abroad, the company still has its roots in Germany and is proud to be a fair-trade and family-oriented business, supporting women, mothers and grandmothers all over Germany. With this collective of women, WALD tries to empower and give back to some of the most important members of society, who often enough struggle to resume their career after being a full-time mum and are likely to be overlooked unfairly. Every single piece - in some point of its manufacturing process - goes through the hands of one of the women working at our collective. They are a vital part in the production of all of our pieces.
