Merchandising and marketing experts are responsible for the fashion industry's impact on our evolving global culture. The AAS in Fashion Marketing program immerses students in the fashion business, where they can explore the relationships between design, merchandising, and marketing. Students research both design trends and consumers, investigating the rise and diffusion of fashion phenomena and how to successfully manage fashion cycles.

From classroom to showroom
Fashion industry practitioners lead the Fashion Marketing program, which is known for interweaving design education excellence with social and environmental awareness. AAS graduates form part of a community of design and business professionals who envision a world of beautiful, sustainable, and relevant fashion. Graduates have joined such firms as Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, and Burberry.

Fashion fundamentals
Students engage with every aspect of the fashion business, from the critical foundation of textiles, color theory, and fashion history, to international trade, merchandising, and e-commerce.

Flexible program online or on campus
The AAS Fashion Marketing degree can be completed on campus, online, or in combination. The on-campus curriculum can be completed in two years or, following the accelerated Fast Track schedule, in two semesters.

Understanding the industry
Through case studies and collaborative group projects, students learn about product development and brand management concepts, often working with top industry partners and across Parsons disciplines, such as graphic design and fashion design. Students also gain experience in public relations, retail buying, trend spotting, and fashion publishing with faculty who work in the industry.

The business  of fashion
As part of their coursework, students create plans to increase a domestic brand's global visibility and propose ways for international brands to launch in the U.S. marketplace.

Graduates make their mark as innovative thinkers with an understanding of sustainable practice, effective marketing, and new technologies.
