The Amsterdam Fashion Academy has launched three new summer courses in fashion business, fashion design and sustainable pattern cutting for high school students who wish to discover various fashion studies.

From 5 to 16 July, the fashion business portfolio development summer course will take place. Students will learn about communication, marketing, styling and the various roles in the fashion industry while completing the course with a fashion business portfolio.

The fashion design portfolio development summer course will occur from 5 to 16 July. At the end of the two weeks, students will have produced a fashion design portfolio and they will have learned how to create, design and present their capsule collection through practical exercises and discussion.

Students have the option to continue their summer studies by adding the sustainable pattern cutting and construction course from 19 to 30 July. This course aims to provide awareness for students regarding the sustainable use of fashion by learning how to adapt patterns, apply various sewing techniques and how to construct their own garment.

There is a maximum number of 15 students per course and the classes are taught in English.
