Danish label Vila launches award for designers and photographers

The Danish high street label Vila is launching its international competition for aspiring fashion designers and photographers. The VILA TALENT AWARD looks for European talents and the winners will be selected by an international jury.

The design competition entails creating "the perfect 5-piece capsule collection for VILA to complete" the party season 2018. The designs need to embody femininity and carry the wearers "through the dark months".

In order to win the photo competition, the photographer has to show his "his unique take on street style photography" by being someone "who loves the impulsive, caught-in-the-moment snapshot of a fashionable woman on the street".

The Prize

The winner of the design competition will be awarded 5,000 euros, have his or her collection put into production and sold in VILA shops all over Europe as well as participate in the campaign shoot as the head stylist.

The photo competition winner will also receive 5,000 euros and shoot the capsule collection, designed by the winner of the design competition, in one of Europe’s fashion capitals.
