ESCP business school has launched a specialised programme for training fashion and luxury managers. The new specialised programme in luxury marketing forms a part of the Master in Management (MIM) and will start in the academic year 2022/2023. Students can enrol for the course until 15 May this year. The programme will begin in January 2023 and end in April 2023.
The course, which takes place at ESCP's Turin campus, is designed for the next generation of experts in luxury marketing. Coordinated by Isabella Maggioni, professor of marketing at ESCP Business school, the course is specifically designed for students who want to pursue a career in the luxury industry.
ESCP Business School was founded in 1819 and offers the opportunity to study at campuses in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw, allowing students to experience a European approach to management. The master's degree costs 19 thousand euros (22,700 thousand euros per year for non-European citizens). "The new programme in luxury marketing provides students with fundamental competencies and skills to manage luxury brands," explained Maggioni. "The luxury sector is undergoing a rapid transformation. This programme is aimed at all those who want to understand the potential of the transformations taking place and seize latent opportunities to create value for clients and the entire luxury ecosystem. The programme provides critical tools and knowledge to manage the different stages of the customer journey and the evolution of luxury brands and highlights opportunities arising from sustainability policies. The pedagogical approach of the specialised programme is highly interactive and hands-on; we combine the experience of international professors with that of many Italian and global luxury companies that collaborate with ESCP business school".
The specialised programme aims to train managers capable of developing marketing plans and innovative strategies in the different areas of this extremely competitive sector of excellence.
The global luxury industry is one of the most solid and resilient industries. Despite the profound changes brought about by the digital transformation of markets, the pandemic and the climate of uncertainty, which have all upset the traditional thinking of retailers and brands, the entire global Luxury sector has recovered rapidly by fundamentally rethinking its business models. "The luxury sector is growing steadily and requires increasingly specialised professionals. The role of our business school is to be able to listen to the needs of the market by offering innovative and high-level training courses," added Francesco Rattalino, director of ESCP's Turin campus. "We created this new specialised programme in Turin because we believe that Italy is the perfect place to study luxury marketing and management. Made in Italy' is synonymous with excellence, creativity, style and elegance. Many of the major players in the luxury sector are Italian, and some of these are brands with long traditions that have made the history of this country and Europe".
The programme in marketing and luxury management is divided into six modules that focus on different areas: channel and retail management for luxury firms, new product design and management, digital marketing for the luxury industry, luxury brand management, value creation, the luxury mindset, and sustainability and the luxury business lab.
The Master in Management takes place on six European ESCP campuses in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw. The MIM is an international master's degree programme that is open to second-year students from the faculty of economics and all first-level graduates who wish to pursue a career in management. Students complete the degree in two or three years in two or more countries. The programme, delivered entirely in English, allows students to customise their studies by choosing up to three of the more than 60 specialisations available on the business school's six campuses.
