ESNE, the university school of design, innovation and technology, has presented its final-year fashion design students’ Fall-Winter 2022/2023 collections entitled ‘Utopía’ at the 75th edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWMADRID).

The aim of ‘Utopía’ was to create a collection that addresses the body issues, self-esteem and beauty standards established in today’s society. This was demonstrated by the use of a wide variety of silhouettes and various artisan techniques such as embroidery, screen printing, braiding or textile manipulations, according to a statement.

The colour palette of the collection evolved from neutral tones to flashes of bright colours of pink, purple and green. The fabrics used to create the garments included denim, knitwear, cotton canvas and silk organza.
