Arts University Bournemouth is a place for students to build and shape their work by collaborating, learning, provoking and sharing in a digital and creative environment.

Origins

Established in 1880, it is the second largest university in Bournemouth and Poole in the United Kingdom. Set in one of the UK’s most beautiful award-winning natural locations with beaches, forests and gardens, it has also been classified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as a world heritage site.

What to study?

The university aims to provide its students who choose to study a fashion course at Arts University Bournemouth the skills needed for a career in the ever-changing fashion industry by merging traditional skills and craftsmanship with contemporary cutting edge technology and ethical practice.

There is a selection of fashion courses for students, including a Bachelor in Fashion Branding and Communication, Fashion, and Textiles.

Students can also select a Master in Design and Innovation or Digital Fashion Innovation.

News

The university was awarded gold in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework, a UK government assessment that focuses on the standard of undergraduate teaching in universities and higher education institutions.

Arts University Bournemouth has produced graduates who have worked with fashion labels such as Burberry, COS (UK), Celine, H&M (Sweden), Missoni (Italy), Ralph Lauren (New York), Roksanda and Vivienne Westwood.
