Students from Auburn University showcased their work at the 15th annual “Full Circle” Fashion Event, highlighting collections developed within the Department of Consumer and Design Sciences.

Held on April 2, the runway presentation featured general, mini and capstone collections created by students and brought to life through a live production organised largely by peers. The event returned to the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center and attracted more than 1,100 attendees.

The “Full Circle” theme explored the cyclical nature of fashion, emphasising how trends evolve, reappear and influence future design directions. Organisers said the concept encouraged students to consider how past aesthetics shape contemporary work and how current creations can inform the industry’s future.

Senior designers, including Hope Lindley, Ella Keenan and Katie Beth Boston, contributed individual collections reflecting personal inspirations and technical development. Lindley’s “Lasso” mini collection, for example, incorporated modern interpretations of western design elements and hand-crafted details.

Beyond the runway, the show served as a collaborative learning experience. Students handled fittings, rehearsals, visual merchandising and marketing as part of a year-long planning course, gaining practical skills in production management and teamwork.

Co-sponsored by the College of Human Sciences and the Auburn Apparel Merchandising and Design Association, the annual event continues to function as a platform for emerging designers to present their work while building professional experience relevant to careers in fashion.
