The year 2016 is a special one for Graduate Fashion Week (GFW), as it marks the 25th anniversary of the event which places a spotlight on talented fashion students and recent graduates. The organisation has just announced the dates of the 2016 edition, which will run from Sunday June 5 until Wednesday June 8.

The event, which invites over 1.000 talented students and graduates to showcase their work, serves as a means to help fashion students bridge the gap between graduating and finding a job. Participating students and graduates come from over forty different universities, including the University of the Arts London and the Manchester School of Art. The exact programme has yet to be announced, but visitors of the event can count on seeing a variety of fashion shows and exhibitions as well as listening to talks from industry insiders. Last year's guest speakers included fashion entrepreneur Caroline Issa, model Erin O'Connor and the WGSN Global Fashion Award founder Lauretta Roberts.

GFW 2016 will be held at the Old Truman Brewery in East London, as was the case in 2015. The announcement comes a week after the organisation revealed that Christopher Bailey and Victoria Beckham will be acting as patrons for the upcoming edition.
