IFA´s Fashion Design Bachelor ranked as number one programme in France

Many students find it difficult to pick the right fashion course as there is so much to take into account before making the final decision. But students struggling with this decision can always rely on rankings which offer insight into which schools are performing well. Therefore, many students find comfort in relying on rankings that give insight into which schools are performing particularly well. According to the SMBG-Eduniversal Institute ranking, the Bachelor's programme for Fashion Design at the International Fashion Academy (IFA) in Paris is the best is the entire country for the year 2015-2016.

SMBG-Eduniversal based its ranking on three criteria: a school´s reputation with Directions of Human Resources, the opportunities and wage levels in the first job which students find after the completion of their studies and the students´ satisfaction.

“This result rewards our efforts and validates our principles: those of an academic rigor serving a dynamic and realistic creativity,” said Patrick Kouzmine-Karavaieff, co-founder and president of IFA Paris. According to Kouzmine-Karavaieff, the excellent performance of the school can be for a great part attributed to the school´s teachers. The school´s president believes the recognition by SMBG-Eduniversal will also strengthen the IFA´s reputation amongst professionals from the fashion field.

IFA´s 3-year Bachelor´s Programme in Fashion Design, which is taught both in English as well as in French, educates students who are aspiring a career as a fashion designer, fashion assistant, pattern maker or textile buyer. According to IFA, strong emphasis is placed on pragmatics, as the programme includes many practical workshops and and offer students a lot of room to experiment. The programme also strives to be really internationally oriented by offering students the chance to complete part of their studies at IFA´s Shanghai campus.

On its website, SMBG-Eduniversal also announced the fashion programmes which were ranked 2nd tol 5th in the 2015-2016 list of French fashion Bachelor programmes. These include Fashion Design at Esmod (2), Mode´Estah (3) and the École Supérieure d´Art Françoise Conte (ESAFC) (5) and the Bachelor in Fashion Management at Mod´Art International (4). SMBG-Eduniversal does not disclose any information on how the schools performed on specific aspects, nor does the institute provide information which other schools were examined.
