Famous costume designs are being showcased at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Museum centered as the 28th focal point of the Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition. The exhibition in Los Angeles showcases over 100 iconic costumes from 30 films.

Some of FIDM alumni are included in the spotlight by sharing some of their costume designs. Representing the past year in cinema, the exhibition features costumes from films such as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood, Jojo Rabbit and Joker.

The “Art of Motion Picture Costume Design '' exhibition is open to the public through Saturday, March 21, 2020. Admission is free.

FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) is an internationally recognized college with 4,200 students and over 70,000 graduates. A private institute for specialized professional education, FIDM is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). FIDM offers degrees in 32 disciplines, among them Fashion and Costume Design and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). The college is headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, with other campus locations in Orange County, San Diego and San Francisco.

Founded in 1969, the FIDM Museum is a tool today that L.A. locals can visit to further observe historic fashion including textiles, accessories, art, technology, and more. The exhibits provide resources to the public so that students, researchers, and designers are able to experience fashion in an exciting, new learning environment.
