In Pictures: Graduate Fashion Week Takes New York

“We are absolutely blown away by the response we’ve gotten,” says Martyn Roberts, the Managing and Creative Director of Graduate Fashion Week, who crossed the Atlantic this week to present the work of ten graduates during a series of events including a high-profile breakfast at Ralph Lauren’s Madison Avenue penthouse headquarters. In attendance were members of the teams of Michael Kors, Target, Calvin Klein and Rag & Bone among others.

Four of the featured graduates were from US universities: Emelie Cleveland from Parsons; Lyudmila Sullivan from Pratt; and Margarita Ng Ng and Cristina Ng Ng, both of FIT, all of whom were finalists in the International Catwalk Competition at last year's Graduate Fashion Week event held in London. They joined UK graduates, Claire Tagg from the University of Creative Arts Rochester, Abisola Akanni and Bethany Griffiths from de Montfort University, Kaitlyn Morgan from Sheffield University, Dan Rynne from Arts University, Bournemouth, and Megan Davies from the University of South Wales.
