Private design school Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) has participated in Fashion Graduate Italia 2021 by Piattaforma Sistema Educativo Moda, 24-26 October.

The following eight IED graduate students will take part in the ‘Future Starts Slow’ fashion show: Alessia Giacchetta, Andrea De Simone, Chiara Autiero, Dara Silva Bulleri, Gaia Romoli, Paolo Belleri, Valeria Nicoletti and Yoana Dimitrova.

The capsule collections were designed for genderless people, men and women and they were created with the following themes in mind: contemporary languages, cultural heritage of their origins, diversity, experimental solutions, memory and uniqueness.

“This 2021 offers us a Fashion Graduate Italia in ‘phygital’ edition: the enthusiasm of IED and our graduates is great. In fact, the physical essence of the collections is back together with live streaming and a video story (filmed by the students) of the making of the event. If we look at the new academic year (despite two years of uncertainty and distance learning), the IED Group is close to the threshold of 3,000 students enrolled on Fashion Courses.

“In fact, at a national level (which is the scale we use when comparing ourselves with the Italian schools of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda), we can say that the 2021/22 academic year of the IED Italia Fashion Course has recorded a positive trend with a growth of +18 percent compared to last year,” said Emanuele Soldini, director of IED Italy, in a statement.
