Nottingham Trent University (NTU) presented its students’ collections at Graduate Fashion Week (GFW), the world's largest showcase of BA fashion talent.
The NTU students presented menswear and womenswear collections featuring knitwear, innovative and sustainable designs, as well as selecting a variety of themes including childhood nostalgia, cultural ethnicity, family and friends, introspection and actual and imagined personal identification, according to a statement.
The following students presented their designs: Anna Rottner, Beatrice Falconi, Chanwoo Jo, Chung Lin Chen, Danni Harris, Delair, Emily Warne, Esme Stewart, Feimata Davis, Froggat, Evie Fort, Liberty Green, Hannah Bond, Grace Reeves, Jungmin Han, Huixin Song, Molly Bowman, Mia Fowler, Molly Walker, Nia Harper, Tanya Evans Lawes and Yeonsoo Park.
Tanya Evans Lawes was the winner of the Best of NTU catwalk show at GFW for her collection re-purposing traditional knitted garments and transforming them into modern womenswear.
Emily Warne was the runner-up in the competition for her womenswear collection that combined digital and hand-machine processes such as hand embellishment and crochet.
The outstanding collections will be considered for the Best of GFW22 UK catwalk show at Lakme Fashion Week, Mumbai, in October 2022.
