European fashion and design school Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) has donated 20,000 euros to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support Ukraine following the Russian invasion, according to a statement FashionUnited received from IED.

The aim of this donation from IED is to contribute to the safety and protection of the Ukrainian population as the institute was founded on the belief: “that a “people’s world” was inclusive, sustainable, supportive, and united, where hate and war had no place,” according to a statement on IED’s website.

The UNHCR is an organisation committed to saving lives and protecting the rights of refugees, displaced and stateless people.

Additionally, IED has encouraged its community to contribute with an anonymous donation via bank transfer or credit card directly to the UNHCR.
