The Financial Times (FT) and global organisation Seedstars have collaborated to present the FT x Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) challenge. 150 students were chosen for the challenge and three of those students are from fashion school Istituto Marangoni.
The aim of the FT x SDG challenge was to empower entrepreneurs through a startup competition. They wanted students to submit a pitch on their assigned SDG concept, 17 goals set up by the United Nations (UN) to achieve a more sustainable future.
The Instituto Marangoni students named Dominika, Emelie and Sachit are all currently in the final year of their bachelor in fashion business in Marangoni London, which focuses on circular business, an innovative supply chain and sustainability.
These students will receive the following: masterclasses, one week of mentorship at the HQ of FT, networking opportunities and workshops. As well, they will pitch their startup idea.
The finals of the competition will take place on 13, 14 and 17 December.
