Istituto Modartech graduate wins Mittelmoda The Fashion Award 2021

Giulia Ferruzza, a graduate of the Fashion Design undergraduate course at Istituto Modartech won the Pattern Maker Award during the The Fashion Award 2021. The Fashion Award was held on Monday in Milan during the 27th edition of Mittelmoda International Lab.

During the final event the collections of 30 young international designers from 14 countries presented their collections. The designers represented 20 of the best fashion institutes and academies in the world. Ferruzza was announced as winner and will have a capsule fashion show on Mittelmoda’s catwalk.

The award was assigned by a jury chaired by Mittelmoda President Matteo Marzotto, Pattern Maker Manager at Twinset Spa, Carlo Barbieri, Pattern Maker Manager at Giorgio Armani Maurizio Cazzin and Jacqueline Liger Schulz, Lectra Vice President Marketing & Communication Southern Europe and North Africa.

International lab of Mittelmoda is a non-profit organization, founded and led by the main institutions of the sector (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Fondazione Industrie cotone lino, Confindustria Moda). The organization has been promoting the international competition Mittelmoda The Fashion Award for 27 years and operates with the collaboration of different companies that share the same mission. Mittelmoda The Fashion award was created in 1993 and has developed an international network of contacts with over 680 fashion design schools in 68 countries.
