Kia, a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer, and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, a non-profit organisation, have presented the six finalists of the Kia Designers Award.

The finalists have been asked to tackle the brief of interpreting the concept of newness in an uncommon way by creating a digital or manual process that can review and then propose a new life for a product.

A jury of industry professionals from the fashion and design sectors have selected the finalists from a variety of prestigious fashion schools and academies.

The finalists’ collections will be presented at the Milan Fashion Week in September 2022. The winner of the award will also have the chance to create a special uniform for a Kia car, which will be exhibited in front of the Fashion Hub of CNMI in September 2022.
