La Redoute, ready-to-wear apparel and home decor brand, is a partner of Esmod Roubaix, and each year it awards a prize to one of the fashion school’s third-year students at the end of the fashion show marking the end of the course.

Joséphine Macaire Lopez was announced as the winner with her upcycled collection entitled Preemption. In her colourful universe, the student worked on the accumulation of fabrics by using dead stocks and focusing on the mixture of materials.

“This award salutes audacity, singularity, and this time extravagance. I take into account the passion of these young people and their involvement. But from year to year, the work is more successful; they consider the garment's marketing. The highlighting of this work must be more consistent: the pieces of the winner will be exhibited in the showroom of Univers Presse, the Parisian press office of La Redoute, at the start of the school year”, Sylvette Boutin-Lepers, head of creative and image partnerships, revealed in a press release.

The Esmod Roubaix end-of-year fashion show was held on June 21 and 22 at the Salle Watremez. In addition to La Redoute, other partners took part in the event, including Le Printemps Lille, Tape à l'Oeil, Maison de Mode and Jules.
