LCI Barcelona alumni wins MasterClass Scholarship Award at Arts of Fashion 2021

LCI Barcelona alumni Ariadna Gegúndez, fashion design graduate, has won the MasterClass Scholarship Award at Arts of Fashion 2021, a creative and innovative competition for fashion students around the world.

Gegúndez’ project was entitled Alfredo and it was based on her time spent living with her grandfather during the restrictions, she produced three looks made from old fur garments and articles retrieved from second-hand shops.

The jury consisted of industry professionals, some of whom included Zoe Vermeire and fashion designers Jean-Paul Knott, Jan-Jan Van Essche and Walter Van Beirendonck.

Other finalists included LCI Barcelona’s recent graduates Carla Lázaro, Carla Sánchez and Mónica Pérez.

In total, 366 students from 116 places of education in 29 countries applied to be part of the competition’s 20th edition.
