Belgian fashion retailer LolaLiza has launched an open call to all students at Belgian fashion schools for its LolaLiza Fashion School in order to discover new local fashion talent.

The fashion chain encourages all Belgian fashion students to sign up for the LolaLiza Fashion School, which will give ten individuals the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at LolaLiza.

The retailer wants to help out young fashion creatives get started in the Belgian fashion industry.

A professional all-female jury from the Belgian fashion industry will select ten designers in October 2022 who will be part of the LolaLiza team in autumn, learning the ropes of design and production at the brand headquarters in Brussels.

The LolaLiza Fashion School jury consists of Ann Claes of digital fashion agency Mutani and the cultural organisation Flanders DC, Catherine Kosters, fashion journalist at the magazine Flair Belgium, Elodie Doret, chief product officer and head of design at LolaLiza and Myra Nurski, Managing Partner at PR agency MMBSY.

Each of the ten young creatives will then design his or her own LolaLiza dress.

The jury will then evaluate the dress designs and select three winning creations. Together with the LolaLiza team, the winners will officially launch their dresses on the Belgian market and can expect to see their designs in stores all over the country in the spring.

All participants in the LolaLiza Fashion School contest will be remunerated and in addition the three winners will receive a creation fee and a commission on the sale of their design.

Candidates can submit their fashion design portfolio via the LolaLiza Fashion School section of the brand website.
