LVMH presents its circular economy initiatives at the Change Now summit

The annual Change Now global summit was held at the Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris from May 19 to 21; this is the international meeting that presents innovations favouring the planet.

LVMH, a strategic partner of the event, presented its commitments and innovations in favour of the circular economy for the occasion. This is also a significant focus of its environmental program, Life 360. This translates into innovations and committed partnerships for the design and recycling of products.

Among these group commitments, there is Nona Source. Launched in 2021, it is the first online platform for resale materials from the group's fashion and leather goods houses. Today, the platform presents itself as a source for many structures such as the London School of Art and Design, Central Saint Martins, UAL, and designer Benjamin Benmoyal. LVMH also presented the partnership with Weturn, which allows it to complete its range of creative circularity solutions. The startup has created the first recycling chain dedicated to unsold textiles, rolls of fabric and scraps from major fashion houses, all protected by intellectual property, transforming them into new yarns and fabrics, one hundred percent traceable and of European manufacture.

Additionally, the collaboration of Christian Dior Couture with Parley for the Oceans was presented, which gave birth to the “Beach Capsule” collection. It is made from parley ocean plastic, a material created from upcycled marine plastic debris and fishing gear salvaged from coastlines and remote islands worldwide.

Finally, LVMH supported street artist Tim Zdey in his participatory installation "The Wall of Change", transforming a blank canvas into a giant wall. He painted live as people commit to adopting more sustainable behaviours.

For its fifth edition, the Change Now conference welcomed nearly 1,000 entrepreneurs, 800 investors and 400 speakers from 182 countries over three days. The meeting was placed under the sign of innovation.
