Polimoda opens applications for scholarships

Polimoda, a Florence-based fashion school, has opened applications for scholarships starting in October 2022 with the aim of fostering new talent.

There are eight English-speaking scholarships available that are geared toward providing opportunities for both Italian and international students who are interested in studying one of the undergraduate or master's degrees offered by Polimoda.

Four of the scholarships presented will be designated for undergraduate degrees and the options include the following: atelier design, digital strategy for fashion, fashion accessories design, fashion art direction, fashion business, fashion design, fashion design management, fashion marketing management, fashion styling and product management.

Similarly, four of the scholarships offered will be for master's degrees, there are a variety of options from creative direction, fashion art direction, fashion brand management, fashion design to fashion retail management.

Massimiliano Giornetti, director of Polimoda, said in a statement: “Talent is something innate. It comes in many shapes, but it needs to be guided in the right direction, cultivated in the right way and equipped with the right tools and knowledge for it to truly blossom.

“At our school, we are constantly looking for new talents. We want to encourage personal, cultural and professional growth, accompanying students step-by-step as they enter the fashion industry.

“Scholarships make this opportunity accessible to the most deserving young people around the world, helping them become a fundamental resource for an aesthetic and intellectual rebirth of the future of fashion.”

The undergraduate scholarship is available for those between the ages of 17 and 25 years old while applicants must be under 40 years old with a degree or equivalent qualification to apply for the master’s scholarship.

Applicants must include a motivation letter and a questionnaire before 20 May 2022.
