Ravensbourne University London students present collections at London Fashion Week

Ravensbourne University London presented 15 students’ collections at London Fashion Week on June 11 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.

Students presented three looks from their completed collections at the event. Their designs were showcased to media companies and industry professionals such as Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council.

Gurmit Matharu, Ravensbourne fashion programme director, said in a statement: “It is truly impressive that our students had the opportunity to showcase their personal vision on an international platform such as London Fashion Week.

“They have all shown determination in the face of adversity during the last two years, and these collections really are a testament to both their enormous talent and drive to succeed. I have no doubt that they will go far and make their unique mark.”

The following students went through an intensive selection process and competition to be picked for the event: Alessandro M. Raso, Amy Powell, Dimitar Chochev, Esther-Toyin Izedomi, Lillian Clark, Linda Mālniece, Lydia Green, Paola Ramos Contreras, Rebecca Coad, "Uncle" Callum Docherty, Vanessa Gjini, Victoria Ivanova, Weina Zheng, Xander Jones and Yimei Chen.

Chloe Culpin, commercial projects manager at CreativeLab and the event’s show director, added: “It was such a pleasure to be able to bring such an amazing team together, utilising my contacts and ten years of fashion industry experience.

“The fashion students set the bar so high and really excelled, pushing themselves in the past few weeks and clear from such high praise from press and industry attending. Collaborating and working alongside industry professionals gave them such valuable insight and a true industry experience that they wouldn’t get anywhere else.”
