Redress Design Award 2022 announces finalists

The Redress Design Award 2022, an international sustainable fashion design competition, has announced its ten finalists representing eight regions worldwide.

The finalists will complete their collections consisting of four physical looks and one digital outfit to be ready for the grand final fashion presentation in Hong Kong in mid-September 2022.

The first prize winner will take home a development fund worth 50,000 Hong Kong dollars (around 6,400 US dollars). In addition to the funds, the winner will also collaborate with outdoor and footwear brand Timberland.

The second-place designer will be awarded a development fund worth 15,000 Hong Kong dollars (around 1,900 US dollars) and a tailored mentorship programme with Orsola de Castro, a sustainable fashion designer and competition judge.

The top three winners will also be in the running to win a Juki sewing machine, among other prizes.
