The Transformers Foundation, a voice representing the denim industry, has launched its first Brazilian event entitled Transformers ED Brazil, an educational event about the denim supply chain, in collaboration with Covolan Denim and sponsored by Lycra Company.
The fifth edition of the event will run over two days and the aim of the event is to educate consumers and students about the innovational and denim practices that could be implemented in Brazil, led by industry professionals.
On day one, participants will be taken through the denim supply chain focusing on fabric production from industry professionals. The following day, there will be panels and presentations about finished made garments and the future of responsible denim in Brazil.
Andrew Olah, the founder of Transformers Foundation and Kingpins Show, said in a statement: “We are delighted to host the next Transformers ED event in one of the largest denim producing hubs in the world, continuing on our mission to make education available and accessible to all.
“The response to our global expansion has been extremely inspiring with over 500 students from 31 universities and fashion programs across Europe, Latin America, and the United States, attending to receive a thorough and unvarnished crash course on the state of the denim supply chain.”
The event is entirely online via zoom from the 1-2 June.
