American skateboarding apparel brand Vans has partnered up with the Los Angeles School of Global Studies and nonprofit EduCare Foundation to donate Chromebook computers to students at the high school.

There were 320 free computers handed out to students from grades nine to 12, 14 to 18-year-olds, to close the digital divide and make it possible for students to remain in school.

Christian Quintero, principal of the high school, said in a statement: “Donations that go directly to the community are so important for our student population.

“I am thankful that Vans, in collaboration with Educare, could get technology out to our students so that our school community can access the school curriculum.”

Vans also distributed goods including shoes and apparel for students and their families.
