AFA appoints new programme leader for BA in Fashion Business

Amsterdam Fashion Academy has appointed Susanna Nicoletti as the new programme leader for the Bachelor in Fashion Business taught at the school.

Ms Nicoletti is a senior marketing, branding and digital executive in the fashion and luxury industry, who has previously worked in marketing, digital and brand strategy at the likes of Richemont, Kering and LVMH-owned brands.

In the field of fashion education, the exec has coordinated the fashion business courses at Istituto Marangoni’s Florence campus where she was also involved in the creation of new innovative programmes recently launched by the school.

Furthermore, Nicoletti is a columnist working with the digital luxury news platform Luxury Society. The fashion educator also recently published a book on luxury business strategy, entitled ‘Luxury Unlocked’.

The Bachelor degree programme in Fashion Business at AFA is a multi-disciplinary programme aimed at students who wish to explore and eventually find a job in the fields of Marketing, Campaign Building, Branding, Communication, Trend & Prediction and Fashion Editorial Styling.

Students learn a range of skills during the programme, including styling, branding, project management, marketing, digital tools (such as Clo3D), product development, public relations, creative direction, research methods, entrepreneurship and how to create a business plan for their own fashion brand.

The BA in Fashion Business in Amsterdam involves fashion internship opportunities and other projects in direct collaboration with the industry.
