For its third consecutive edition, the Africa Fashion Up initiative, a showcase of contemporary African fashion in France, will present the creations of emerging African brands during a fashion show in Paris. To select these young designers, a call for applications has been launched.

Since February 15 and until April 15, 2023, young African creators, stylists and designers can submit their applications to be part of the third edition of the Africa Fashion Up program. The selected profiles will be able to present their creations during a fashion show organized on July 7 at the Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac Museum in Paris. But first, they will have to go through a selection process overseen by an international jury. The winners, identified as the "Discoveries of the Year", will be invited to Paris where, during a week of immersion, they will participate in masterclasses and tours given by the program's official partners, which include Balenciaga and Galeries Lafayettes. They will also receive support ranging from training to mentoring, with masterclasses and coaching sessions with individualized follow-up.

This year, the organisers specify that the focus will be on audacity and originality, while responsible and sustainable fashion will be highlighted at the same time. The designer whose profile wins the jury's approval will be awarded the 'Africa Fashion Up Designer' prize 2023.
