The Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) has launched a two-week digital design summer course entitled ‘Virtual Fashion Design: The New Real’.
As digital fashion weeks, digital filters, the metaverse and virtual shows are increasingly becoming a part of the fashion industry, AMFI has created this course to offer in-depth knowledge about 3D virtual prototyping and the development of virtual fashion.
Students will translate their fashion visions into garment design and virtual prototypes, and by the end of the course, they will showcase a presentation of their 3D dimensions.
The course was designed for professionals or advanced fashion students at either bachelor's or master's levels interested in sustainably producing fashion while exploring new design methods.
The course is taught in English and begins on 4 July.
