The British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ) has announced a charity jewellery sale to donate funds to The Proud Trust, a charity that supports LGBT+ young people.

The charity jewellery sale aims to make a positive contribution to those who are helped by The Proud Trust. BAJ students and tutors, along with members of the community, will donate pieces of jewellery that they have created to the sale.

Sally Collins, BAJ jewellery diplomas programme lead, said in a statement: “At BAJ, we really believe in getting our students involved in the wider jewellery community and encouraging them to use their fantastic jewellery making skills to make a positive impact on the world.

“We decided to run this jewellery sale to raise money for The Proud Trust, as we know it's an important cause that would resonate with our students, staff and wider community. There's going to be a really beautiful selection of jewellery on display to enjoy and purchase- a very tempting array of pieces in a range of materials, sizes and wearable options- something for everyone!”

Other charities that BAJ have worked with include Blueprint for All, an organisation that works with young people to create an inclusive society and National Health Service (NHS) Charities Together, an independent national charity that cares for the NHS.

The sale will be held on May 17 at the Academy’s London campus at Morley House in London.
