Dutch fashion designers David Laport, Yamuna Forzani (both graduates of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague) and Antoine Peters, a graduate of ArtEZ University of the Arts, are the nominees for the Dutch Design Awards in the fashion category, as per an announcement on the official website of the awards.
In October, a professional jury will decide which of the three creatives will take home the first prize award.
Amsterdam couture brand Studio David Laport has been nominated for its project 'Local Vegetation'. Yamuna Forzani, who is known for bringing fashion, photography, art and dance together, has been chosen for 'The Utopia Ball x Fashion Show' project and designer Antoine Peters has been selected for his 'Space Garments in the Bonnefanten Museum' project.
The jury will select the nominees and final winners by evaluating the proposals based on the projects’ “impact, distinctiveness, expressiveness and production method,” according to the website.
