Ypsilanti, MI — February 11, 2026 — Eastern Michigan University fashion marketing and innovation student Lindsay Jenkins has been awarded a 10,000 dollar scholarship from the Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, the university confirmed. Jenkins was one of 60 recipients nationwide selected for the award this year.

The scholarship, established by the late designer Virgil Abloh to support Black and African-American students in fashion and related fields, accompanies professional development and mentorship opportunities alongside financial support. Abloh, founder of the Off-White label and former artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear, created the fund to enhance access to education and careers in fashion.

A Detroit native and entrepreneur, Jenkins previously ran her own brand, LYNZI, and has showcased her collections at fashion weeks in New York and Los Angeles. At EMU, she is preparing for the annual portfolio show where she will present her work to industry professionals while pursuing career pathways that include fashion buying and brand strategy.
