Heathfield School Ascot has hosted a two-night, sold-out student fashion show that drew comparisons to professional industry events.
The showcase, titled NEXUS, welcomed 250 guests and featured nearly 100 original garments designed, constructed and modelled entirely by students. The event explored the intersection of heritage and innovation, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design approaches.
Students led every aspect of the production, taking on roles as designers, models, stylists and technical directors. The runway incorporated AI-generated projections and digital artistry, creating an immersive visual experience aligned with the show’s theme of merging past and present in fashion.
Headmaster Jonathan Williams said the event demonstrated students’ creativity, leadership and ambition, highlighting the value of giving young people responsibility in large-scale projects.
Among the attendees was alumna Charlotte Stockdale, an international stylist who has worked with Karl Lagerfeld. She praised the standard of the garments and the overall production.
The event forms part of the school’s broader focus on fostering creativity, enterprise and technical skills, with further student-led initiatives expected in the future.
