The Faculty of Art and Design of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) is currently hosting the latest edition of CADi, the annual Latin-American Design Congress. The event will take place from Wednesday September 21 to Sunday September 25.
The Istituto Europeo di Design is a strategic partner of the congress, participating in the ‘Glocal Talks’ through presentations in the field of Design and Government (Governance) held by Idoia García de Cortázar, Coordinator of the Master in Design for Change and Design of Services for the Silver Economy at IED Kunsthal Bilbao, Spain.
García de Cortázar will talk about design projects linked to the public health system and Isabel Urbano, Director of the Master Programmes at IED Kunsthal Bilbao, will speak about Design and its link with the Spanish city.
IED will also recognise the talent of Latin American Designers in the CADi Awards 2022 by awarding scholarships to the winners for the IED European Summer Programmes 2023.
Other lecturers and professionals in design, textiles design and fashion design will explore a variety of topics in their presentations.
The CADi Awards aim to recognise the dedication, skills and critical thinking of students from various design schools in Latin America.
The winners will receive a series of prizes, internships and mentorships offered by influential companies and CADi partner centres, which will allow them to enter the professional world of design both globally and in Latin America.
CADi 2022 is a free event and will take place completely online with some face-to-face elements.
The congress consists of five main events for which students, educators and visitors can obtain participation certificates issued by PUCP.
