Spain’s Retail Textile Association (ARTE), an employer group representing major fashion conglomerates including Inditex, Mango, Primark, and Tendam, has entered a strategic framework agreement with ESIC Corporate Education. The alliance targets managerial and technical skill development across the fashion retail ecosystem, addressing critical talent retention and recruitment challenges in the Spanish market. Under the agreement, both entities will design tailored corporate training programs focused on high-demand operational areas, including digital transformation, supply chain logistics, e-commerce, customer experience, and sustainability.

The partnership grants ARTE member companies preferential access to ESIC executive master’s degrees, executive programs, and specialized professional seminars. Simultaneously, the institutions plan to co-host industry forums and collaborate on research examining European regulatory shifts, evolving consumer behaviors, and market digitalization. To enhance graduate recruitment pathways, the agreement incorporates joint initiatives to expose ESIC students and alumni directly to employment opportunities within the corporate fashion textile sector.

The initiative highlights a growing imperative among major European fashion conglomerates to institutionalize continuous learning in response to legislative, environmental, and technological pressures. As omnichannel integration and sustainability mandates increasingly dictate retail operations, academic partnerships of this scale serve to bridge executive education with real-time supply chain demands, ensuring that higher education institutions align executive curricula with current industry performance metrics.
