Institut Français de la Mode organises first physical fashion show
May 31, 2022
The Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) has organised its first physical fashion show to be presented on June 20 at the campus of the Parisian school, Quai d'Austerlitz. The event will highlight the creations of the students from the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design.
Resulting from the merger with the School of the Chambre Syndicale de Couture Parisienne in 2019, the IFM campus finally has the opportunity to present its first physical fashion show. After several seasons marked by the pandemic and confinements, the prestigious fashion school has the opportunity to offer a physical event to support its students. The event is a way to show the school's philosophy in terms of creation and its dynamism.
In February 2022, Master of Arts students from the Institut Français de la Mode partnered with the French technology startup Stage11 to open Paris Fashion Week with a series of fully digital accessories. While in March 2021, Paris Fashion Week FW21/22 was launched with a film presenting other creations from the fashion school, particularly accessories with potential NFTs.
The show will bring together designers, students, the press and industry professionals from fashion companies and institutions. It will begin one day before the launch of Paris Fashion Week, dedicated to the spring-summer 2023 men's collections.
